Please– for one, why would they suddenly have the volume bar displayed all the time? There is no reason for it to be displayed if you’re not changing it. Of course it’s fake.

This is a really bad idea. Think how horrible your screen will look after 6 months of rubbing your grubby finger on it..sounds to me like another lawsuit design since everyone seems to be going after Apple lately.

Not to mention, the insane battery usage this thing would entail if it were real.

This problem could be dealt with. Remember the touch-sensetive buttons used on the 3G, and the protective layer on top of them. Then take out your old ipod and rub your fingers over the screen a couple times: whatever marks come can just be wiped off.

the large screen is fine, but this video ipod would be the thickness of the 4G ipods, the extra space (vs 5G) would give loads of extra lithium polymer battery space. With this extra cap. this device could easily play 3 hours of video. the screen dirtiness is not that big of a deal, you don’t really see fingerprints when viewing video, just when the unit is off, and a microfiber bag would allow storage and cleaning

they should use frontrow as media manager in the video pod

Think! It may be a new experience.
Taking an iPod to it logical conclusion, it will become an infinity computer, where every book, lesson and person we have ever met will be accessible for instant recall. Hence the equalization of memory amongst the masses. Unfortunately this will not engender intellect! Indeed such skill is found in only a few, of which we can take this opportunity to state that Apple with its vision and acumen are a company founded upon advanced creative thinking.

Now if it could have the feature set of the Archos PMA430, or at least the Archos AV500 it would be perfect.

Nintendo DS has a touch screen. And it looks fine after a few months. Just get a screen protector or a stylus.

all PDA now is almost full screen with touching capability, don’t see the screen got messed up. as for the volume bar, the software can be written so that it will be off when necessary. i think full screen ipod is a great idea with the potential to become apple branded pda.

what if the ipod had a processor in it and could be a miniature imac, with a bluetooth mini keyboard? that would be hot.

I think that a full screen would be cool but they should make it wifi to surf the internet and download songs and movies right off itunes. not that any1 really buys their songs.
