I am not sure what I would do, if this tool starts blinking for real!
Radiation has a lot of handy uses and it’s certainly around us all the time
in one form or another. But there are definitely some evil forms out there that
don’t play nicely with living organisms (and unfortunately won’t turn you into a
superhero or supervillan even as much as you would wish it could). The Portable Radiation Detector is a small device designed to alert you to
the presence of gamma-ray, beta, fast-neutron and x-ray radiation. A highly
sensitive microprocessor samples the air 32,768 times per second and will
trigger a visual and audible alert for any radiation level above 75
milliRoentgens per hour (mR/hr). The device will alert you to the presence of
radiation but not the specific type and will not report false alarms when
exposed to varying temperature levels. The radiation alarm is indicated by an LED flash and audible "beep" (Low:
long-long, Med: long-short, High: short-short) and a continuous steady tone
indicates a low battery. Radiation monitoring is "on" 24/7.
