spacecube-b03[1]

It calls itself the "Space Cube" hmmm I would rather say the NO Space Cube. If I could call this PC mine, I would take it with me everywhere.

It has a 64 MB SDRAM Card as hard drive, Lan, USB and a monitor connector!

What else do you need?

What else do you need? An OS smaller than 64 MB. The leaves you with…MS DOS.

Since it’s got USB, could you hook up a USB HD and run a more sophisticated OS?

With a name like Space Cube, this gadget had me expecting something a little more Borgified, but by claiming to be the world’s smallest PC, it still commands some…

Where is the mouse and the keyboard?! Wireless ?! Where’s the bluetooth receiver?! lol I want to use Photoshop on this computer =)

  7. cind wrote,

    where is the screen?

If it works, it would be a ver nice ‘lap-top’ (without the screen). Imagine the back of the seats on an airplane, all install with monitors …

Pluck in a USB hub and you can have a keyboard, mouse, printer, scaner and a coffee warmer on this :D

SDRAM (synchronous dynamic random access memory) and SD (secure digital) memory cards are not the same thing – that 64MB is the machine’s main memory (RAM), not its storage. You’d probably stick an 8GB CF card in that gaping CF slot, which you could also use for wi-fi/bluetooth, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SDRAM

Actually it is not the smallest.

At 7.938 Cubic inches it is much larger than the 4.968 cubic inches of the iPhone. Which has much better features, a screen and a keyboard all in that size.

Good point, Rob. It’s also a phone and has storage space.

Anyone know the cost for this?
My Japanese is quite rusty, and my cell phone doesn’t have international calling setup… ha!

of course the iphone must be brought up.

always. because its so awesome, apparently.

    PoS if you ask me.

Since when was the iPhone a computer? Or even close for that matter..

Where can I get my hands on one of these!? I would love to set a few of these up as a cluster to do some small number crunching projects and to be just a neat little toy to play with!
