About Mr. Dealio

MrDealio was born out of an exhaustive search for the right plasma TV. After months of research we finally settled on a model, it was only a matter of where to buy it. Like many products bought online, the actual product doesn’t change from merchant to merchant. So what do we care about most? Price.

We tracked the prices of our plasma television at a number of different online retailers. To our surprise the prices kept changing which complicated our purchase decision. How would we know if we were getting a good deal if the prices continued to change?

 MrDealio was created to solve this problem. MrDealio puts the purchasing power back in your hands by providing you with the price history of a product with the added benefit of being alerted by e-mail of any changes in price.

MrDealio’s Goals

To our surprise, prices change online a lot more often than you’d expect. Online retailers continuously adjust the prices of products in an attempt to maximize profits and fend off their competitors. This can work to your advantage if you are diligent and constantly check the prices of products online.

When using other Product Comparison engines online, you may notice that the price displayed is not always the price offered when you actually visit the website. This is because shopping comparison sites accept data feeds from merchants with product updates. Unfortunately, these data feeds are often "out of date" and no longer reflect the current price of the product.
