Yeah, and I thought our move is going to go very smoothly – but no!

2 Weeks ago I booked a flight with Lufthansa and asked if they would take our dog to Ireland and they said yes no problem and I should check back 3 days before departure to see if it went through. Cool and I did that and found yesterday out that they just canceled the transportation of our doggy. Well they canceled 10 MINUTES after I booked the flight 2 weeks ago … thank you for not telling me….

But now listen what Lufthansa did, I wrote a huge email last night to complaints and Lufthansa just called to apologize and …… they are giving us 500 Euro to make up for it …. so Lufthansa bought the way back into my heart. So since 5 Minutes ago Lufthansa is still my favorite Airline. Thank you LH!

So this will be happening in the next 7 days.

On Saturday we will drive from Berlin to Frankfurt and go to a vet at night, because she needs to be dewormed 12 – 24 hours before she is boarding the boat on Monday. Staying over night in Frankfurt – Driving on Sunday from Frankfurt to Abbeville and continue to Cherbourg on Monday to the ferry, which leaves at 6 pm. Arrive on Tuesday in Ireland, Rosslare… Mike will take our dog and drives home. I will take the same Ferry, same day back to France – to return the car in Paris. Because it costs $1000 just to drop of a car you rented in Europe, when you want to return it in Ireland.

Will be in Paris by Wednesday and fly to Dublin late night and the next morning I take the train to our new house.

And I thought we just have to travel one day ……! ARGH!

I learned tons of lessons – and I kind of see the whole thing as a big vacation. Yeah fun.

And guess what … on Friday, I will be leaving again for Berlin for a day. I got invited to a meeting from one of the bigger internet companies, because the like my German Version "Total Blogal" of RGS very much! – but all that is a huge, exciting secret.

I have to go packing … but if you feel a little sorry for us …. or you are just generous … you can donate a little in our moving fund.
