Finally, Barbie has a dog that eats and makes a mess! Tanner the dog is soft and fuzzy and her mouth, ears, head and tail really move! You can open Tanner dog’s mouth and "feed" her dog biscuits. Comes with a dog bone and chew toys that Tanner can hold in her mouth, too. When Tanner has to go to the bathroom, Barbie doll cleans up with her special magnetic scooper and trash can. Posable Barbie doll included. Ages 3 and up.

Well, if this play set encourages kids to clean up dog dumps, I’m all for it.
As for its realism: What’s called for here is creative use of Floam, or some other malleable substance.
Tanner would eat dog-biscuit shaped lumps, which would then be shaped by clever internal clockwork instrumentalities into poo-shaped loaves.
My own dog (see URL) shows no interest in eating her own dumps, but is a great fan of cat poop. I have to be very observant to keep her away from the stuff.

is anybody else as annoyed as i am that not only do the dogs eat their own poop, but that there is actually a “white” dog and a “black” dog?

soleilnyc, there isn’t–as you so wrongly state–a white dog and a black dog. There’s a European Barbie and an African American Barbie. The dog is the same big, stupid yellow Lab-looking poop eater no matter whether it’s Rhonda or LaVul’vayta who’s doing the scooping.
I suggest, soleilnyc, that you get the hell over yourself and learn to observe what it is you’re talking about before you open your fat, flappy mouth.
