We managed to get the load time of our site Crticker down. Not an easy task, since we have to deal with a huge database..
We receive a lot of suggestions on how to improve Criticker, and one of the most frequent has been "It’s too slow!"
Performance is an on-going battle for any website — particularly one with heavy database usage like Criticker. But we’ve just put in a suite of enhancements which have reduced the strain on our system and massively improved page load time.
Of course, there’s still much room for improvement — and you can help! If you encounter a page at Criticker that takes too long to load, please let us know. We put special Timing Information at the bottom of all our pages. Simply view the document source (usually accessible with View -> Page Source), copy the timing information found at the bottom and send it off to us.
P.S. I case you haven’t been on Criticker yet .. do so and never watch a bad movies again!
