Ever wanted to make free money? Want a bit of cash to buy the latest gadget or bit of hardware? Apparently a lot of money can be made buy participating in clinical trials. Some people make $2,000 or more just for spending the weekend in a lab! Nice? Eh, maybe not.
A friend of mine told me about a Contract Research Organization (which will remain anonymous) that was recruiting healthy, non-smoking males between the ages of 18 and 45 for a two-weekend stay at their clinical site. And the best part of the deal was that they paid $2,000. Who could say no? Well, I did.
Shortly after, another buddy of mine told me how badly he was treated. They literally made him feel like a guinea pig. His meals, sleep and playtime were strictly controlled, and he had no privacy whatsoever. However, after I went into the field of clinical research myself, I realized the importance and benefits of enrolling in these trials, and I also found out that my buddy was exaggerating.

Aside from that though, I heard that you can actually sign a waiver promising that science laps can use your corpse for scientific studies and you make quite some cash. Who cares what someone does to a dead person? As long as I don’t get raped and instead get used for something that can actually greatly affect the future generations in a positive matter while making some extra money, I’m in.
I’d probably even donate my dead body for free but I’d rather get a couple of thousand dollars to buy myself a nice car and enjoy life while I’m still alive.
If that’s very christian or not, I’m not sure. As far as I’m concerned, helping fellow humans is one of the greatest sin-absolvers yet.
