Does anyone know what the song is that is played at 2:27? It’s been in a couple of movies and what not but I neve have realized what it is.

So there you go.

It’s “Clair de Lune” (“Moonlight”) by Claude Debussy. (The whole time; it just transitions from the intro to the main theme at 2: 27.)

Damn, she’s good! The theremin is a very difficult instrument to master. The performer is Lydia Kavina, who was taught by Leon Theremin himself, and is probably the best thereminist performing today. Anyone who found this performance remotely interesting should go out an rent Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey. It’s about the life of Leon Theremin and the history of his instrument, the first electronic synthesizer which he invented, incredibly, in 1919.
