Good question Veron – I was wondering too. The only difference I could make out is in the corner symbols the one on the top left – bottom right. Once of the mini squares are filled out. But I guess it is a good thing that it is not too obvious

To read the cards look at the top left corner of the card, there is an 8 pointed star. The contents of this allows the card to be read. To read the suit look at the 4 small circles in the star design, there is one that is not filled in, signifying the suit of the card. To read the value of the card you need to now look at the smaller 12 pointed star.
There is one point that is different to the others and this lets you see what the card is
