Apartment Horse

A landlord in southern Sweden got a shock after he evicted an old man who had not paid his rent. On entering the man’s apartment he discovered that the tenant had been keeping a horse in his apartment.

Straw, horse dung and the stench of urine indicated that the man had not been living alone in the apartment, in the Skåne village of Östra Vemmerlöv.

The former tenant has now been reported to the police by the landlord, who is demanding money to cover the cost of renovating the flat to make it habitable again.

The man had reportedly previously been accused by neighbours of animal cruelty. He has now moved to another village in the same area.
