In highschool I made that hovercraft for my science fair project. :-) It turns out pretty awesome.

The best I could do was a copy of the U.S. Patent Office drawings.
It was the BEST ride at Disney. Hovering bumper cars.

I personally like #2 that hovercraft would certainly have been a “chick magnet” back in the 60′s -I wonder if it floats?

Image labeled # 4 is Princeton University’s first Airscooter. Photograph dates to about 1959 or so, and was made inside the original hanger at Princeton’ Forrestal airport. The pilot is unknown to me. Happily, the Airscooter is on display at the American Helicopter Museum in West Chester, PA.
