I just discovered the nifty new feature by mistake. If you right click on an email in your Gmail inbox, a windowed preview of the email appears. There are also options to Close, Archive, Leave Unread, or Trash the message- without opening it. This is so nifty… and fast. How do the clever engineers at Google come up with these ideas?

I wonder if you delete it after that form of previewing it shows up as a read email from the person that sent it. I know alot of spammers check to see if you read their email or not so as to send you more spam.

Count … I think as long as you don’t load any images spammers won’t see if you opened the mail or not… Am I right or wrong?

I just tried both IE7 and Firefox, it didn’t do it for me, so it must be that plugin.

It’s a greasemonkey script that lifehacker.com has built into a great (better gmail) extension.
