Slideshow Pro – RGS wants it

Coral Beach Ireland

I love this above shot … one good snapshot. Didn’t give any directions besides telling them to look over. Was taking on the one and only coral beach in Ireland.

Anyway I am overhauling my photo sites www.jhfoto.de www.jhfoto.de/blog and I am stuck on the way how to display images. At first I was like .. yeah let’s try an Ajax Gallery, they look really nice and there is no additional software needed besides Java. But this is just way to advanced for me.

So I found SlideShowPro:

flash-slideshow

Which really does anything I want .. you have tons of control but it is just an extension for Adobe Flash CS3, Macromedia MX 2004 or Flash 8. Sad thing is that I don’t own any of these programs. The Cheapest program is MX 2004 which goes for around $400!!! Not willing to spend that much.

Now my question: anyone knows of a good alternative, knows how to program a cool slideshow and would do that for a small amount of money. Or does anyone own one of those programs and is willing to sell it to me?

I am kind of desperate … RGS Readers, I am looking forward to your input.

For years I have been using Firehand Ember Max for organizing and editing photos and Firehand Lightning Max for making slideshows. Both have great features and are very easy to use. They are available from Firehand Technologies at http://www.firehand.com for $59.95 each or $99.95 as a bundle. Trial version is available.

After much searching for a reasonably priced tool for my car club website, I spent under US$40 for MySlideShowGold … http://www.anixsoft.com/myslideshow.html
