Most of you won’t care but I am huge fan of the Eurovision Song Contest and I watch it every single year. It’s so trashy, It’s so good 
And this year Serbia won – So the next contest will be held in Belgrade. And since I am a half Serb … I am going next year. I called my cousin in Belgrade right away so she can start hunting down tickets. I am really excited for Serbia that they won. After the war and all this will draw some nice attention to them. This was actually my favorite song and she really deserved to win.
The Entry of Ukraine was not from this earth – especially the partly German Lyrics – I loved it ..

Yeah, I’m a big fan of Eurovision too and had my money on Ukraine winning it; truly awful but that’s just the way we like it here. Must confess that I hated the Serbian song. On the plus side it was better than our dreadful UK entry which somehow managed to receive 19 more points than it deserved. Of the other entries I thought Finland and Sweden were the best of the bunch with Georgia’s having a great “Ray Of Light”-feel chorus too.

I was surprised by the voting for Ireland. I thought it was quite upbeat for them but I think the singer was suffering from nerves a little bit. I still thought it would do fairly well though as Ireland typically gets quite high votes from Europe. Maybe there was a continental Europe-wide power outage during their song.
