Hotels.com and Cheaptickets helped me to organise the trip.

Just a quick note, the Buddha was awesome …. we decided to walk back to the MTR Station which took 2 hours so we didn’t have to get back on that horror bus (the Skyrail was not working … BUMMER!) On the way down we found this great spot. A detailed report about the Po Lin Big Buddha experience will follow once we are home. We are off to catch the ferry to Macau… eek!

Glad you liked the visit to our fair city. The skyrail is shut down because a gondola crashed to the earth last month during some after-hours testing, so perhaps it is good you hiked down instead.
Next time you are in HK, drop a note and if I am around maybe I can help your explorations - I am in Thailand at the moment for my own holiday.

Sponde,
I actually did hear about the crash but I thought they fixed, especially seeing the gondolas in action from the Airport Express Train. Oh well … next time
If I make it back to HK I will let you know and within the next days I will post tons of pics and stories about our trip.
Thank you for reading RGS ….
