Hotels.com and Cheaptickets helped me to organise the trip.
So you finally made to the Airport in Hong Kong? What’s now? Well at first lay your eye on the awesome architecture of the airport:

Or you could check your emails ( since they offer free wifi Airport wide) or go straight to the airport spa.
But in case you are eager to get into the city, you can either chose from Taxis, Busses or the awesome Airport Express Train which takes you from the airport to Hong Kong Central in only 24 minutes and once you get there look out for the free Shuttle Busses to most major hotels.
We got ourself the Hong Kong MTR Octopus Card:

If you buy the Card online which you can do here (this site only works on IE) you pay HK$285 which is about 36 US Dollar.
If you don’t buy the card online .. no worries there is a stand right when you come out from customs there the card will be HK$15 more expensive.
You will get 2 rides on the Airport Express within 30 days (not sure about in what time frame) and on top of that you get 3 days unlimited MTR rides and when you are back at the airport you can return the card in Terminal 1 to get a HK$50 Deposit and any money you might have added (you can add more money on it after the 3 days) back.
The Octopus card is also a paying system … add couple of Dollar to pay with just the card in most of the stores in the MTR Stations and tons of store outside of the it. Which is very handy.
An other thing what I loved about the Airport Express was that they have a Early Check in Desk in Central Station. We arrived back in Hong Kong in the early afternoon and our flight back to London was at 1:00 in the morning. So checked in and got rid of your luggage and just had to log around our hand luggage. Which wasn’t too bad.
Infotek sent me a booming $50 donation … Thank you very much. Do you wanna buy me a drink?

I’m not sure if it’s still the same as 3 years ago but it was cheaper to take the bus.

Yeah, you can still take the bus and would be cheaper. The train is just the more convenient way to get to HK Central.
