A while ago I talked about how to make firefox faster just by changing couple of settings under the about:config menu of Firefox. Now I ran into an other guide to make Firefox even faster… and yes it works.
Type this in the address bar of Firefox “about:config†.. right click on any entry choose New and Interger. This will open a field, there put “Browser.cache.memory.capacity” press enter and this value “100000†to give Firefox a 100 MB of memory. You can play with the value to figure out which works for you best.
Now again “about:config†…right click on any entry choose New and Boolean. There you paste “config.trim_on_minimize†and sit it to true. This will force Firefox the release memory when windows are minimized.
Sorry that this entry is not very technical and I don’t really know what I am talking about but it works ![]()

You missed a step in the first part, you have to name the integer “Browser.cache.memory.capacity” and then put the value as 100000.
