I chose the Cosmo Hotel because of it’s great location ( right next to the Happy Valley Race Track ), free Wifi in the Lobby, free shuttle bus to the Hong Kong airport express and other MTR Stations and because of it’s look
.
When you arrive with the Airport Express I recommend to take the the Shuttle to the hotel right from Hong Kong (Central) Station. At first we thought we should continue to Causeway Bay (which is really close to the hotel) and take the shuttle from there. But don’t do that. Because Causeway bay area is pretty confusing and it might be hard to find the shuttle bus considering carrying all your luggage.
So when you arrive at Central Station look out for the Hotel Shuttle Bus signs.. follow them and the Cosmo Hotel Bus leaves there once an hour 5 minutes to the hour. If you just missed the shuttle bus and don’t feel like waiting you can take a taxi which will cost you 5 bucks or so.
The Shuttle busses from the hotel leave right next door at the Mother Hotel "Cosmopolitan Hotel" the fancier version of the Cosmo Hotel (with views over the Happy Valley Race Track) …. arrive there at least 10 minutes before departure because those busses fill up pretty quickly. We got pretty lucky with our room … it was pretty high up and spoiled us with this view:

So make sure when you book to mention that you would like to book a room as high up as possible and facing north.
After staring at the view, we got showered up and got ready to eat …. at the Hutong Restaurant. More about the restaurant in the next couple of Hong Kong posts. But was great … that the concierge helped us to make the reservations if you have any requests you can email the concierge directly
Just went back on their website and we totally missed out on one of their features "The Terrace" which I guess is a place to hang out on the 5th with free wifi and coffee. What bummer! Oh well, in case you are staying there … you are informed now.
A highlight during our stay in the hotel was visiting the Hotel Bar "The Nooch" where they have a live band every night.
The hotel is really close to Times Square, one of the big Hong Kong Shopping malls. Around you will find tons of restaurants and you can easily connect with the rest of the city via the MTR "Causeway Bay" Station.
All together a very pleasant experience.

P.S. If you book directly through their website they will put an iPod Docking station in your room for free.
