Escalator-Hong-Kong

Hong-Kong-Escalator

On our second day in Hong Kong we took the Central Mid Levels Escalators which is for free, it takes you from Central through Soho (which has good shopping and restaurants) up to the Mid Levels. The ride is free and takes about 20 minutes if you don’t walk. If you go really early please be aware the escalator goes downhill instead of up.

Hong-Kong-Fare-Saver

It seems that most local people just used the escalator to get to this MTR fare saver thing? It looks like you get HK$2 when you swipe your octopus card over it. I did it .. but if someone knows more please leave a comment.

Hong-Kong-Mosque

Towards the end of the ride was this cool looking mosque.

Ah … thank you Marty for the info. I was just amazed by all people swiping octopus cards of it seems like the whole family ;) I did swipe my card as well … I wonder why MTR is doing it? To make the escalators more popular?
