Hotels.com and Cheaptickets helped me to organise the trip.

The video was taken from one of the trails on Victoria Peak.

There are couple of ways to get on top of the peak, hike, take the bus or take the Peak Tram. Even though it’s very touristy but I totally recommend doing it. It’s HK$33 roundtrip and each way takes about 7 Minutes. If you can sit on the right hand side, this will get you the best view over the city going up. To get to the Peak Tram Station you can either walk from the Central MTR Station or do what we did. Take the Mid Level Escalator all the way up and walk through the Hong Kong Zoo (free Admission) and Hong Kong Park to it.

A picture of the Tram arriving at the peak terminal. Ross actually took a much better picture which he posted in his "My Favorite Spots in Hong Kong" post on RGS a while ago.

Here a picture of Mike totally freaking out about the view.

And here the view .. on the right you can see the tallest Hong Kong building (IFC) again and on the lower right you see the HSBC and on the far right again the Hong Kong Convention Centre I mentioned before in my Star Ferry post.

Once you up there you can either enjoy the view from the Peak Tower.

Hong-Kong-Peak-Temple

Or the nearby temple thingy. To get there you take a left when you get outside the Peak Tower Tram Station. Or you can take one of the trails on the peak. Can’t remember the trail we took .. something like Peak Trail (lol), it took a little over an hour and I suggest:

where-to-walk-on-the-HK-Pea

when you come out of the peak tower to walk right and you will get to that intersection. Take the street where that cement truck is and keep right at the end of that street. It will be somewhat boring at the beginning but it will get better towards the end. Trust me.

On your way you will get awesome views over the city and this:

Hong-Kong-Breast-Statue

After the hike we got a beer in one of the restaurants of the Peak Tower (with more great views) … the view even from the escalator is breathtaking.

Hey .. look there is Bruce Lee:

Bummer he’s just out of wax .. part of the Madame Tussaud Museum inside the Peak Tower.
