After 2 Skype phone disasters I finally own a phone I am totally happy with and it’s the Doro 212 IPC. I bought that phone from the Ireland Skype site and was just checking the US Store and found out, they don’t even sell my favorite phone anymore? Why? Oh well.
These are the 2 disasters:
On the left site you see the Cordless RTX Dualphone from Olympia which is also not available in the US anymore (why are they only selling the old stuff in Europe?) but managed to locate some at Ebay. I was pretty happy with the Dualphone until the Display start to get messed up (you can see it in the picture the Dual one is on the right) I only had the phone for 2 years!
And as some you already know I hate the SMC Wifi Phone you can read my review or see what SMC had so say about my complaints here.
Now this post is kind of stupid because I just wanted to share my Doro and show how sleek it looks without even being expensive. Now that silly phone is not going to be available to most of my readers. I even made a little video:
There is no display on the phone but navigations is still very simple. Press the R button and the Skype interface will appear on your Desktop. Press the green button to type numbers and press the green button again to make the call. Or press the red button to use the phone keys to navigate through the Skype interface.
