I have been following this story with some interest. Senator Larry Craig [wiki] was busted big time at an airport while trying to pick up another guy in the bathroom, the whole story is ironically very similar to characters in Little Britain.
I feel strongly about Gay Marriage, and am married to a man myself under New Zealand law. Senator Larry Craig has supported the Federal Marriage Amendment, which barred extension of rights to same-sex couples; In late 2006 he appeared to endorse the right of individual states to create same-sex civil unions, but said he would vote “yes” on an Idaho constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriages when pressured to clarify his position by the anti-homosexual group Families for a Better Idaho. Craig voted against cloture in 2002 which would have extended the federal definition of hate crimes to cover sexual orientation. (This was passed in 2007 in the House as the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007; it currently awaits Senate action.) So I find it somewhat ironic that he was busted.

Ross, thank you for post. Mike and I keep talking about this story over and over again. I am just so sick of these republican being the toughest against gay rights, just to punish their little guilty feelings and acts. Makes me so angry … he is exactly the product of a suppressing society.
