Link Love Friday

I know "FRIDAY" but our server was acting up and we don’t really know what happened. That’s the scary part. So please forgive me if RGS not loading yesterday drove you nuts. Believe me that last 24 hours were the worst 24 hours of my Blogger Life! … I prepared this post yesterday ..

I raised the question not too long ago if thanking the blogosphere will get me banned from Google. And I received some helpful answers from couple of big pro bloggers:

• Daily Blog tips:

  Creating a post every Friday with a link to readers that “talked” about your blog should not get you into trouble.

  Be careful how you structure the whole deal, though. John Chow did not suffer much from getting banned in Google because he has a very popular blog and an incredibly active community. I bet that he could choose, though, he would rather have his Google SE traffic back (which should be around 1,000 hits per day or say by the time he was banner).

  Google lays down the rules, and if you can’t beat them, you better join them .

• Dosh Dosh: To answer your question: No, I don’t think you will get banned for this exercise. Hope this helps.

• Self Made Minds:

  I think it depends how you word it, if you say you want links and will link back in return in order to manipulate rankings then you’re going against Google’s terms and if you get penalised you’d only have your self to blame, though I highly doubt Google would notice.

That kind of made me sad … but I am happy for the answers I received and they helped me to have a Link Love Friday. And that goes like this.

Every Friday (assuming I am not traveling) I will post a "I love you, Blogosphere Post" there I will link to every other blog picking up content from RGS with credits back to my site.

Existing RGS readers might think, that’s boring but actually this way you might find one or two blogs you might like. Especially considering that those sites might relate to RGS.

If you are a blogger well feel free to get posting inspirations from here, link back and there is a huge chance that you will get mentioned. I try to keep a good eye on my stats. But if you really want my attention please join my More Traffic Facebook Group and post your link or you can email me to get my attention.
