Savvy RGS readers, we need your help. We are so over our current web host and we are willing to switch. We are all patient and stuff but they just plain don’t care. Even though the lastest server problems was clearly on their side (broken hard drive) but they tried to push it off on us by saying that it was caused by someone hacking into our site. Which was not the case.

Anyway, we are currently renting 2 of the medium servers and we are looking to find a provider which is cheaper, faster, in dollars, with 24/7 support and unlimited traffic.

Does this exist? What host you are using?

If something comes to your mind please post as a comment. We need your help!

Thank you very much and thank you for still sticking with us through these hard times.

XOXOXOXO

aaahh .. hmm I mean .. cool!

Update:

Support just called and they agreed it was a hardware problem. So let’s see what’s next.

Dedicated 123Serv Plus from 123Reg is £79.99/month. I have about 20 sites on it. Never had any trouble with them regardless of any bad publicity, bandwidth unlimted and when I took the contract I checked this for sure and it hasn’t been a problem. Uptime for the server – Uptime: 500 days, 2:47.

    Hardware summary

    Processor
    2.8Ghz Pentium 4
    RAM
    1GB DDR
    Hard disk(s)
    2×80GB
    RAID
    RAID included

    Good luck with your search.

I use powervps.com. They do not do unlimited, but do offer a healthy amount of transfer. It looks like you might need more then a VPS. If so then they do colo or dedicated also I believe.

Support is top notch and I have always had replys and solutions with in 15 – 30 minutes. I also pay for their monitoring service which runs through hyperspin. If my site goes down, powervps get a high priority ticket and respond with in 15 minutes of getting the ticket and will start things back up again.
