Valencia Grows on Me

Filed in Photography , Travel 5 comments

Since we have been here we got constant sunshine and we needed it – We have been here now since Thursday and things are going very well I would say. Yesterday we got a phone call of a lady with 3 places in the exact area we are looking for which we can visit on Tuesday and on Monday we have at least 5 more places to look at. It looks like we are going to decide on a place on Tuesday Evening. Exciting.

Yesterday we looked at a place with this view from the living room:

valencia-silk-market

No zoom or other tricks – it’s straight up. The living room was gorgeous but the other rooms were kind of gross! Every single room had neon lights on the ceiling and my skank meter was itching. But if it comes I could live there for a year but good thing is we have tons of other options.

But I would love to live right next to that silk market and go shopping there every day:

If you compare the vegetables to the ones in Ireland …. I was speechless, the stuff there just looks to unhealthy.

Today, we are going to do some sightseeing, since it’s a huge holiday today. We also check out the beach and just rest a little – we deserve it.

Here are some more Valencia impressions:

It’s funny, it’s 20 Degrees Celsius and they run around in big heavy coats! This kind of makes me scared of the summer.

I already googled for spanish classes but the Valencia blog will be mostly in English though. I am very surprised how little English is spoken over here.

I’ve been to Spain once and loved those old parts of the cities. Your photographs are reflecting the beauty and the spirit of the places, as well as the genuine interest of the person, holding the camera. I think we are in for the treat, when you discover more of the counry.
Waiting for more info and pictures.
