Taking off in Shenzhen was exciting but landing in Beijing was not anything boring. The Olympic Games will be held in Beijing this year and the whole city is getting ready for it .. and just flying you can see that they still have ways to go (even though those pictures are 6 month old)
It looks like they will be well prepared!
But I don’t like that they put these fake walls around the Hutongs just so you can’t see the sometimes rundown buildings while driving down the bigger streets. Which is just sad. I think the Hutongs were my favorite part of whole Beijing and they make it look like they are embarrassed by them.
Ohh .. we got a nice view out of our window now honey – WALL!
You can see also find these comics throughout the while city preparing Chinese of Westerners. Don’t really see the need for that either – the Chinese have been nothing but nice and polite to us.
