He had practically no use of his arms (some use had been restored to one by surgically rearranging muscles), but he too could do phenomenal things with his feet (including drive a car). When people talk about terrorism they don't know about the terrors of polio, iron lungs, tuberculosis, and a number of diseases nobody hears about to today.
