Mike and I are huge fans of the Eurovision Song Contest and watch it every single year. It has become a great tradition and one of the highlights is to get our dog Chucky as drank as possible (just kidding .. kind of .. she has a hangover right now – kidding again / well kind of).
We really this year we would be in Belgrade to watch Eurovision 2007 because I got family there – so I thought it would be pretty easy to get tickets. Well, we failed.
Anyway, I just want to share couple of highlights last night.
Russia won this year:
Dima Bilan sings "Believe" – did Timbaland do the beatz? I didn’t even think that song would have any chance but apparently he has a huge fan base in the eastern European countries. Suck! The figures skater is just LOL – doesn’t he look like Woody Harrelson in Kingpin?
Our favorite was Sebastien Tellier with Devine:
Causing huge discussions in France because he sings in English. I love that song …. watch the official video – it’s awesome!
Really embarrassing was No Angels singing for Germany …
I mean .. girls, could you just maybe nail one note?
Also very good was Bosnia / Herzegovina Laka singing :Pokušaj

This was fun again. I can’t wait again for the Eurovision 2009 from Moscow.

Sebastian Tellier was the best, meaning the worst, because – you are so right – it ain’t s’pposed be good! The worst performance, meaning the best, was by the heavily plastic surgery’d lady in the tassled minidress (Sweden, I think) who made my ears bleed.
