The thought that you can tuck your washing machine away when you don't use them so you get more space...it is so attractive. And you don't have to have a special 'laundry' area for it, just set it up anywhere when you need. I think it's also useful for travelling. Using hotel laundry costs extra and even if you are at the backpackers you still have to dig out coins for laundry. But uh, I don't know how one can lug that around when travelling.
