Snack for Grisu - the fireman dragon (is that dude popular elsewhere in the world - it is/was super popular in Germany)
There’s just something so relaxing and satisfying about a campfire. Maybe it stirs up something special inside of us echoing back to a time before broadband and cell phones when we were more directly connected with nature. Or maybe we just like to see stuff burn with flames surging higher and higher into the dark nighttime sky. It’s probably one of those two things, or perhaps a little of both that attracts us to a campfire.
The wood used in these firestarters is shredded pine and the wax is a biodegradable soy wax. There is no need to use newspapers or tinder with the firestarters. Use only kindling (small sticks 1" around or less) and your firewood. Stack the wood for your fire, layering the thinner wood closest to the firestarter. Then simply light the wick and let it burn. The burn time will be approximately 20 - 25 minutes and as it burns, the soy wax will melt and drizzle down. The entire cup with burn off, leaving nothing behind.
