I would love these. If I had them, I wouldn’t put anything else on the tree.

The pickle is actually an old tradition. I’ve heard people say it is German, but other sources dispute that. Anyway, the first person to find the pickle in a tree gets a prize!

As far as I know, the pickle one is from an old tradition where the first person to find the pickle on the tree gets to open the first present.

…Or maybe that’s just my family?

The pickle is a tradition for some families.. its the last ornament hung and its hidden on the tree somewhere… the first child that spots it gets a special prize.

Oh wow … I didn’t know that with the pickle. Hang a fresh one and this is automatically the price! He he!

It is not German though, at least not from the area I’m from.

In my family, if you found the pickle you usually got candy from Grandma. It was a true honor to find that pickle! I come from a strict German family but I wouldn’t doubt that this tradition happens in many different cultures.
