An amusing story from a recent marathon where I live...my company provided transportation services for runners and other people involved. One of our supervisors was completely grossed out by a guy running in a white tee-shirt. The guy's nipples were bloodied by the friction and his shirt stained with large splotches of blood. This was all everyone in our company could talk about for a whole week! (I think more due to the weak-as-water supervisor than the bloody nipples!) A runner friend of mine states that a common practice amongst runners is to band-aid their nipples. Apparently he does for all his runs. This is yet another reason I prefer to remain sedentary. Oh, yes, this is true for about every running event as I have come to find out.
