360 Maze Ball

This is a gift made for me – Want it!

Have puzzles gone passé? With the advent and subsequent mainstreaming of videogames caused physical toys to go by the wayside? What do you get when you multiply six by nine? The answer to the first two questions is "No," and the last, "42."

The proof that physical puzzles and toys haven’t gone the way of the dodo is here. This little sphere contains a really cool three-dimensional maze with a ball bearing inside. Your job is to get the little ball from one end of the maze to the other. You’ve got to rotate the sphere through all three physical dimensions, and get our old friend gravity to pull the ball through loops, whorls, around corners, up walls, around pits, and across precipices to get from end to end. Don’t worry, for training, there are places in the maze where you can pick up where you failed – call them "save-points" if you must.

6 x 9 does not equal 42 its 54. I’m guessing you weren’t able to solve the puzzle if multiplication slows you down.

    6 x 9 = 54
    6 x 7 = 42
42 = the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.
but when arthur decides to extract the ultimate question from his brain, he pulls random letters and comes up with:
What do you get if you multiply six by nine?
of course 6 x 9 = 54 and the since the earth experiment was interrupted by golgafrinchans so with the “garbage in, garbage out” rule, the question was wrong. However, 6 x 9 = 15 using base 13 rather than base 10.
of course if both the ultimate question and the ultimate answer were known in the same universe, they will cancel each other out and take the universe with them to be replaced by something even more bizarre. and that may have already happened.
Yeah, it’s a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy reference.
