6 x 9 = 54
6 x 7 = 42
42 = the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.
but when arthur decides to extract the ultimate question from his brain, he pulls random letters and comes up with:
What do you get if you multiply six by nine?
of course 6 x 9 = 54 and the since the earth experiment was interrupted by golgafrinchans so with the “garbage in, garbage out” rule, the question was wrong. However, 6 x 9 = 15 using base 13 rather than base 10.
of course if both the ultimate question and the ultimate answer were known in the same universe, they will cancel each other out and take the universe with them to be replaced by something even more bizarre. and that may have already happened.
Yeah, it’s a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy reference.

6 x 9 does not equal 42 its 54. I’m guessing you weren’t able to solve the puzzle if multiplication slows you down.
