treadmill-for-dogs

When the dog is done, the baby can go on it for a crawl workout.

This is the treadmill that provides owners with a means to maintain consistent levels of exercise for their dogs, regardless of weather conditions. Its whisper-quiet motor drives a sturdy rubber belt that is soft on paws.

Side rails keep dogs’ attention forward, and most pets will benefit from 45 minutes of moderate activity. Speed, distance, and incline can be adjusted using simple controls. Each model is equipped with a safety on/off switch. Plugs into AC. Includes training guidelines. Small Treadmill. For toy breeds and dogs up to 30 lbs., it uses a 1/2 hp motor, has a 28 3/4" L x 13 3/4" W running surface with 0-14% incline, and operates at speeds from 0.3 to 5 mph. With recessed treat holder. 47 lbs.

45 MINUTES on that thing! Are they insane? The inventor must have never owned a dog. Getting my dog on there would be hard enough..I can’t imagine getting her to walk and not have a heart attack after 45 minutes

This would be good for my dog!!

    Jim,

C’mon man, never had a working dog? My ACD will play for 4 hours, non-stop running and jumping without getting tired.

It is said that treadmill training can not only help burn off some of that energy but will also add years to your dog’s life. Too many dogs are dying of heart failure these days and it has everything to do with sedintary lifestyle, just like people.

Any hearding dog would likely benefit greatly from the extra workout. I walk my dog 2 hours a day and that still isn’t enough for him. It is me who cannot keep up, not him.

That said, this treadmill is too small for many hearding dogs plus there are tons of unused human treadmills sitting in basements. I’d look to get a used one then convert it for dog use. It shouldn’t be too difficult.
