OMG! This parade was probably the craziest thing I experienced. My ears are still num! See a video and couple of pictures of the sweet awakening of Fallas. Watch the whole video .. it’s CRAZY!

Got bad news for you though since the Despertà already happened this year. It’s always on the last Sunday in February. You have to be in one of the Fallas groups in order to get those firecrackers. But you can just show up and walk along with them.

Nice pics and video
This year will be my fifth Fallas. Ashamed to say, have never been able to get up early enough to catch a street ‘desperta’. Have only ever heard them from my bed LOL. Going to make the effort this year though!
Question:Can any tourist join in? It’s got to be done!
