Strange Sighting in the English Channel

The AMR is the Association of Maritime Research. Since the early 1900s, they’ve endeavored to further human understanding of the deep seas, and are a resource for the concerned members of the public who’ve seen strange things in the water. The AMR presses the scientific community for explanations as to unexplained shapes.

Well, right now the AMR is specifically requesting testimonials from anyone who might have recently seen something unexplainable in the English Channel. On April 20th, a French couple taking a stroll along the Bolounge Harbour managed to capture on film a dark, shape in the water. There have been a number of other independent reports of the same thing, all within the last couple weeks.

In order to gather data, the AMR is asking for anyone who thinks they’ve seen something resembling a “fast-moving creature” too large to be a fish, to contact them immediately. The participation of the general public is necessary to gather enough data, and any information that leads directly to proof will be rewarded.

You can contact the AMR through their website: www.channelcreature.com

My son and I were sitting on Brighton beach about 6pm yesterday evening and suddenly we saw a very fast-moving dark thing moving across and out to sea. It looked like something dark flapping up and down on the water – too small to be a boat and too fast to be a bird or a person. We were stunned and amazed and watched it go out of sight. The fastness of it was what was weird.

Couldn’t get a video but my daughter lives there and will be on the look-out. I know its no good without pictures or videos. My son is 27 so not a child. We were both too stunned to do anything but stare at it. It looked like the kind of wings a sting ray has but all you could see was the flapping up and down of the wing on top of the water. (far too big to be a bird) It was the speed that was so amazing. It couldn’t have been any kind of launch. Sorry will try and get some pictures. Thanks for listening. Janice
