But it might been felt colder because Helsinki is right next to sea. In innet country it can get really hot on sunny days. In winter it is from -10 degrees to -25 degrees celsius, but it does not feel so cold when you have get use to it. One day I cycled my way to school (7 kilometers) in -18 degrees with only sweatpants and hoodie (and of course shoes, socks, t-shirt and boxer shorts) on me. So you get use to it. If cold weather does not matter Finland is admittedly the best place in whole world to live. Come back again and go to inner Finland so you wount freeze on wind :).
