Get the Atlanta City Pass. For the same price as going to the Aquarium. You get passes for the Auarium, World of Coke, The Natral History Museum, CNN and a few others. If you do go to the Aquarium make sure you take the behind the scenes tour. It costs extra if you don't have the city pass. But Atlanta does have the biggest Aquarium in the world.

You were all over around where I live! I'm glad you went to Piedmont park, I love that place. Did you happen to make it over to the dog park there?

I agree with you on Underground, but I do think the Aquarium would have been worth it :(

So true about Underground Atlanta. When I moved to Atlanta in the early 70s, it was really cool. It was the old streets that were left, I think after the city was burned by Sherman, and the new city was built on top of that in the 20s. There were some cozy shops and bars down there, and you really got a feel that you were walking through the city as it was before the modern city was built over it. When the MARTA rail line was built, Underground was closed. They decided to bring it back in the 80s, but like many things associated with the 80s and politicians, they ruined it. They took away all the charm, and turned it into a shopping mall. The GA Aquarium, by the way, is a great attraction, but you're right, it's really expensive. I went on Halloween because our kids got in free with their costumes. It still cost us a fortune, including over $30 for fast food for four.
