Do it like the Japanese do it! Doesn’t pic #4 look like a huge oil cake (I wonder how many calories it has)
Tempura, deep fried tonkatsu, karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and ebi fry are some of the best dishes that Japan has to offer. They’re fun to make too, deep frying them in a large pan filed to the brim with cooking oil. Of course, we know that throwing away used cooking oil down the toilet or sink not only is bad for the environment but will clog the pipes leaving you with an expensive repair bill. So how do they handle this problem in Japan?
With the power of Katamete-pon that’s how! When sprinkled, it "magically" hardens the oil, allowing you to scrape and pick up by hand, creating it to a more Eco friendly form for your moeru (burnable) trash disposal. To use, simply pour the powder on the oil, mix thoroughly and an hour later, it’s ready to throw away. Very cool and great for the environmentally conscious individual. Inside is a 3 package version. Very cool.
