I actually didn’t have one yet – but the lunch is set for tomorrow, Philly Cheese Steak!!!
Ok, yesterday was tough! Got up early – flew from Valencia to Madrid, had a never ending layover!!! And later continued with Air Europa to NYC. I was pleasantly surprised about that airline. I never really heard about them and they had actually the cheapest price to get from Valencia to NYC ( yeah Delta has a direct flight now for emmm 3 times as much for those dates I wanted to fly.)
Air Europa had decent in flight meal – free wine and beer – in-seat entertainment. Not the newest but it worked! Being a tall guy though flying on a budget in economy is not too much fun. I just don’t get it why Airlines even have declining seats in economy? What’s the point and I think it’s so rude! First of all, it’s my personal space which gets invaded. The best is when the person in front of you doesn’t even look back and just slams the seat into your knee while you hold a cup of coffee in your hands. Thank you! Nice!
But I got her back good too! She won’t forget me.
After I arrived in NYC I took the train to Penn Station and then the Amtrak to Philly. What a trip but I met some nice people on the way and had good talks.
Have my first day now in Philly – feel pretty much rested – got my assignment in 30 minutes (eek I need to get ready) and this afternoon we are trying to make it to the creepy yet awesome Mütter Museum. Which couple of RGS readers recommended in the comments on the What to do in Philadelphia post.
Tomorrow doing the Rocky Steps, the bell, shopping, terminal market, Italian market, South Street and of course Philly Cheese Steak probably at Campos.
As you can see, fun pics will be on the way.
Got to run!!!!
P.S. Above pic is the view from my hotel – whish I would be in downtown.
