Build your own smartphone is a great now concept by a start-up company from Germany (hope they will be creating a better product than the peeps from WeTab). Synapse’s concept is simple – you only pay for the phone you need. The basic model starts at about $400 and the model with all the bells and whistles will set you back $940. What the bells and whistle exactly are, I have no idea since their server is swamped by traffic right now and I couldn’t access their official website.

Before I give you some data for a medium priced model of the the Synapse Phone you should know that this beauty runs on Android 2.2:

Would love to give this phone a try – since my silly iPhone’s wifi problem! Still can’t connect to any wireless internet! Need a new phone!
