This week was hectic, super exciting and fun and the next 6 days will even be more of it. Max. hours of sleep … probably 4 if! You probably are kind of getting sick of me talking about Fallas. But it has such huge impact of people living here in Valencia and it is the 2. biggest street Festival on earth.

Not really sure how to put it but this week was INSANE! It was almost too much – still can’t believe that right behind our house a theater as big as a city block collapsed right behind our house. And I think it took at least 3 days after the fire to release how lucky we were that our house didn’t catch fire.

Fallas is a full swing (12 more days to go) and today is one of the busier days and yes I will be attending all 5 Fallas highlights (just in case you were wondering ). We went to all daily Mascletàs (Don’t know what it is? Click on the link to watch a Mascletà Video in HD) and they also have them rarely at night called Color Mascletà. I took above picture at one of night ones.

Fallas is insane I mean Paella street cooking:

…. bizarre kids parades (the one girl is kind of sick of FALLAS already !):

and so much more … Don’t worry I will be bugging you with more Fallas stuff. Don’t worry.

Ok Bloggers and readers, watch out. There is a new face on the Blogosphere, watch out for Extreme John! I’m just happy that my main reader target goes in a slightly different direction. I’m just not the Pink Barbie Hummer big breasted Cheerleader kind of guy . I have to admit that I had hesitation even visiting Extreme John’s blog because I had no idea what to expect. But John gained an instant plus point for the first post I saw:

A post of a English Bulldog. He calls it ugly – I think it’s cute but it seems like we got both enjoyment out of this picture.

I went through couple of his posts and I was surprised to find original content written about interesting and serious topics as well. I like for example his post on the Car Industry Bail Out:

They are BUSINESS’S! Being in business means a lot of things and it also means as a business your going to be required to do a few things if you want to, well stay in business. Let’s face the first reality in regards to this bailout for GM and Chrysler, it won’t make a bit of difference. Give Chrysler another $5 billion, go ahead and give GM $16 billion and you can go ahead and do it another 10 times, it wont make a difference. As a whole the products suck, GM and Chrysler have failed to change with the times and with the trends leaving room for Toyota, Acura and Honda to beat them down in sales year after year. Why can’t I have a quite week? This week was honestly too much for me. If you follow me on Twitter you probably saw my desperate tweets from last night. A theater which right behind our house burned to the ground and colapsed:

We also went to a Pilota game:

Which is a traditional Valencian sport. But highlight of the week was the beginning of Fallas with it’s Cridà.

Work wise I was a little slow on RGS but we pushed out Lastminute Auction France. But I warned you that once Fallas starts I will be spending more time away from the computer and less blogging. On the other hand I’m going to share with you photos and videos from probably one of the craziest festivals in the world.

Starting this Sunday Fallas begins which equals me spending more time outside than at the computer (for once!) and Yes I’m actually very excited about it. Fallas is just around the corner – which is a sign for me that 2009 is almost over. Yeah, I know .. not really but starting February 22nd there are things lined up until July. Eeek! The next couple of month are just going to fly by.

Above you see one of the many pictures I took of the Ninot Expocisio in Valencia which get me very excited for Fallas – I can’t wait!

I got some exciting news I ‘m almost ready to share with you – things are not 100% but I got invited to do a photo documentation at very cool fabric in Germany. They produce fun and well designed household items. Some of you already might be able to guess where I’m going .. Shhhht! It’s going to be fun and colorful.

Haven’t smoked pot even once but seeing Michael Phelbs placed as the boo man of the nation, freaks me out. Yeah smoking pot is doing drugs. But so is consuming alcohol. If he would have been photographed with a beer bottle in the hand it would have been no problem. I mean tons of people smoke pot – TONS! Even in countries where it’s outlawed! Everyone is pointing fingers at him instead of standing up and saying … yeah I smoke it too. And demanding that laws has been changed. And I’m not talking about outlawing alcohol … forbid!

Out of solidarity I’m going to grow me some shit!  Since in Spain you grow to grow up to 5 plants for your own smoke pleasure without getting into trouble. Not sure if I would ever smoke it … but hey, need to point out the bads in the world.

An other thing which gets you high – are pictures of awesome sunrises and sunsets. So sit back, relax and get high on art.
