    american movies

Happy July 4th to everyone. Drink a beer and eat a hot do in my behalf.

Last week was pretty calm on RGS but still had decent traffic from returning readers - SWEET! Before I post the recent blogs linking it I would like to share a blog post Mike did over on Criticker’s Movie Blog:

    American Blog Post

We thought we’d use this most American of holidays to highlight one of the most annoyingly American of trends: using the word American as the first word in a movie title. Enough already! Here’s an American Rant for you.

Read the whole story (be warned it’s crazy): American Movie Blog Post

    • Quixantando (Movie Olé)
    • OddSEO ( Good blogging friend of mine: More Doubts)
    • Gizmodo (BZZZZZZZZZZZZZ hate them wasps)
    • UberGizmo (What would I do without you guys?)
    • Coolest Gadgets (You can submit gadgets now and have people vote for yours … which one did I submit?)

Do you want to be on that list? Just snatch some content and link back to RGS, or link to Criticker, MrDealio or Lastminute Auction in a post… it’s that easy. To get my attention you can email me. If I would be you …. I’d try to be one of the first ones to link to RGS .. this might get you a spot on top of the list.

    Mega Gulp!

    Breaking news … Breaking news.

PC Magazine finally recognizes the potential of Criticker. They put us before Flixter on their list of Best Websites for Movie Fans under the category Social Network.

Coolest thing is - Flixster is a huge cooperation and Criticker is just run by 2 dudes!

    See:

    criticker-is-better

Link to the list and here the link to read the full story.

Will this kick off our well deserved break? I really do hope so. We have been working on that site really hard and that almost every single day.

We also just added 2 new features on our movie blog:

    DVD Report
In which we’ll focus on the films new to DVD, informing you which are most beloved by users of Criticker.

    and

    Heroes of Contentiousness
We’ve developed a formula to determine which films are the most contentious among our user base. Or, in other words:
    Image

And our new Movie Forum is really getting super popular - our great users really turned the forum into an active forum.

If you like movies or sick of crappy ones head over to Criticker and rank at least 10 movies so we can predict your taste. It’s simple and free and easy to use.

    palm-size-projector

RGS featured a similar tiny projector before but this one is really compact. Project stuff anywhere you go. Perfect fort the next outdoor Super Bowl (more likely to be able to watch it in Florida).

A projector that sits in your hand? That small you say? We say yes! This amazing portable projector is tiny! Based on new innovative technology and the talk of ‘Gadget Ghetto’ (err - the gadget world) at the moment this Mini Projector is a battery operated projector using high power LED light. It is an all-in-one multimedia entertainment unit!

Using the on board SD card slot you can watch movies, look at your pictures, and play music through the built in speakers. As well, you can plug this into your TV, VCR, Computer or gaming unit through the RCA connectors, and watch your movies, TV or play your games! It will “blow up” your movies, TV games and digital pictures, turning your room to a giant theatre and a game room.

Projecting an image of up to 30” ( that’s 77cms - diagonally) onto any wall, curtain, ceiling or anywhere else with a smooth white surface, this unit has a resolution of 480 x 240, and come with a manual focus for a crisp, clear image.

    • Extremely portable design with built-in speaker
    • NTSC and PAL compatible
    • Over 2.5 hours continuous use with fresh alkaline batteries
    • Dimensions: a tiny! 17cm x 10cm x 9cm (unit)
