Ever got whipped by some measuring tape? No? Well you can now go to this modern exhibit of fine handy craft art.

Rows of motorised measuring tapes record the amount of time that visitors stay in the installation. As a computerised tracking system detects the presence of a person, the closest measuring tape starts to project upwards. When the tape reaches around 3m high it crashes and recoils back Each hour, the system prints the total number of minutes spent by the sum of all visitors. Commissioned by the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.

Tape is awesome. Tape is sticky, smelly, clear and can safe you life. We know it can make art but Max Zorn takes it even further and turns urban light sources into little spots of art. Loving it and it’s not as aggressive as spraying walls. Even though I like good old and well done graffiti as well. I would like to have a tape portrait of our cute French Bulldog. I would tape onto my car front window, well if I would own a car. Sadly I don’t.

Check out these Hungry-Beasts. This Germany Artist from Berlin is collecting mutated fruits and vegetable from the farmer markets. The question now is, are the veggies we are used to look at the mutations or the rare findings in the video the normal standard. This makes me totally confused and his veggie gems are way to precious to be eaten. They are beautiful and belong in a museum.

- Straight Shizz

Take a Smoke Bomb, a glass thingy and done is your art. Now combine some firecrackers, slime and a donkey hoof and you really have something going there. Best about art, anything can be art and you can be an artist too. Don’t be shy and let out a stream of creativity and market the living something out of you. Marketing is 80% of your future success as an artist. I think!

We had a blast in Denver – Mike was in Denver couple of years ago and said it has changed a lot. Lively downtown, tons of art, great food and nature. The view of the slightly snow covered tips of the Rocky Mountains is unbeatable. So, in case you ever wondered if Denver is worth a visit – it is …. double thumbs-up from us.

Talking of worth a visit. We made it to Savannah and are loving it. It’s so different compared to any other place I visited in the US. I especially love the trees covered in Spanish Ivy which makes them look like haunted Christmas trees. Check out our arrival in Savannah.

We went to La Laboral University in Gijón which is the biggest building in Spain (it’s awesome check it out) and after we did the regular touristic tour we ended up in the former kitchen of the university. You guessed it right, it was HUGE too.

There was an awesome temporary art exhibit – not really sure what it was about because I just run around taking pictures like a maniac … but it was cool. Check out the other pictures:

Not too long ago we spent a weekend in Madrid and one of the things we wanted to visit was the Prado. Unfortunately it’s closed on Mondays – the day we planned to spent all day long in a museum. Now I’m kind of happy – we got to see the incredible Sophia Reina Museum and we have an other reason to visit Madrid again. I loved the fact they were allowed to take pictures (of course without flash) in the museum, except for the Guernica (I’m so sneaky )
