This one is too small for me …. the slumber bear for me must be at least 14ft.

This is the plush teddy bear that spans 7 1/2′ when sprawled across a floor as a compliant sleeping area for a child. Swaddling a child in slumber-inducing comfort, it is made from velvety-soft, 100% polyester fur, shaped with 50 lbs. of lofty polyester fill to give it a welcoming, rotund appearance. Without the grumpy disposition, this bruin can be maneuvered into any position a child can concoct; while sitting up, its movable arms can be folded to ensconse a child in a protective pose, or while lying prone, serve as giant, soft pillows. Its molded plastic eyes, tan muzzle, and leather nose create a peaceful expression that invites lounging.

This bear is very much more welcome than the recent ice bear attack from the news. Rather be in a tent and this little fellow and not that hungry beast hungry for human flesh. Oh man, just thinking about it makes me feel sick. So I better direct my thoughts to this tiny bear, being playful and all. My question … how do you ever encounter such a cute little bear in the wild. Do I have to wait for fog?

This beast is gigantic – look that blue monster. This bear is 40 foot high and put together from a whole bunch of triangles using an eighties (I think) 3D rendering software to form this sculpture. I still wonder why the artist chose a big blue bear but I think it’s because of the  Book with the same name. Oh well, who knows ! It’s still neat and fun to look at. On our recent Atlantic hike on the coast of Asturias we noticed an odd and rare rock illusion. Maybe we were so obsessed with the idea to spot a bear (probably not though on the Atlantic coast) but it is possible to run into a bear in the wild ( even not caged in too). So we walked by this odd shaped rock formation and then couple of hundred meters further we looked back and saw this:

A huge teddy bear sitting on a rock!!!

I want to go back now and film it, how a slice of rock can transform into a teddy bear. I think Asturias just gotten an other place of pilgrimage.

Normally when you think of Spain you would think of this … BEACHES!

It’s our first 1 1/2 weeks in Oviedo and we already done and blogged tons. One of the highlights was hiking the Path of the Bears where I took above picture. It was incredible and a scenery you would never guess exists in Spain.

The hike was 22km long and went a long an old miners train track, through tunnels along a river. AWESOME! You might wonder why bears … well because Asturias has bears – there were even just recently a sighting of free-range bears couple of days ago. And we actually saw some bears on our hike as well … see:
