Yes indeed, the title of being the best Firework of 2012 already have been awarded to the people in Dubai. That amazing firework was shot from the highest building of the world ( Burj Khalifa ) in Dubai. I’m a sucker for Fireworks and here are couple of them I filmed: Firework Wake Up Call, Earthquake Firework during the Day, Beach Firework and so on .. you get the point ! Now, hello tourist board of Dubai, how about inviting to travel bloggers for the next New Year’s Eve Firework?

Now there is an interesting addition to flight shows – yeah why not add some fireworks! I wonder what insurance company insured this spectacular. It just seems a crazy risk to add to these already very dangerous events. Didn’t just two pilots of show planes die within 24hour of each at separate events?  Now, if they would add some Lasers and this kind of Firework this would really something!

A very creative way to combine kites and fireworks. Not sure what it is but Fireworks to my life are like air to lungs. Can’t stop inhaling them. Maybe Valencia should combine their beach fireworks with those flying kites. It would be an incredible sight. Talking of fireworks – our first week in Savannah will feature a firework tomorrow right the river. It’s like Savannah could read my mind and give me what I’m urging for.

I loved the surprise look of everyone when I lit the candle. We used one for my Mothers 90th birthday and another for my granddaughters birthday. Just be sure anyone with long hair should tie it back because it does have a rather large flame.

The great things are … stereo sound, great quality, small size, long battery life and easy to use.

The main problem I have with this camera though is the choppy, bubble, robo sound in extreme noise situation like in the video of a Mascletà below. It handles the sound pretty well until it gets really nuts starting at minute 5:26.

Lucky for the normal user, this will be not an issue

Some readers asked about how the camera is dealing with low light situations. Here some different examples in low light and in firework mode.

All together not bad, considering the size and the price.

Someone else bought the camera but complained about choppy playback on the camera itself. But I upgraded my memory card to this and I have no problems at all with that.

I can just recommend to anyone this camera. Also, the size will give you no excuse to take this fellow with you anywhere you go.

Next I will be posting a video I took in 60fps, creating a slowmotion video shot with the Sanyo VPC-CS1.

OMG! Ever wondered how a 2 ton firework might look like? Don’t wonder any longer and watch this video I took yesterday of this rather unique firework called Mascletà which is part of Fallas here in Valencia. I shot this video my new Sanyo VPC CS1 (which I’m really happy with) but at the end it had problem to figure out the sounds. It was just too much.

Alicante which is about 1 1/2 hours from Valencia has a similar festival like Fallas where they burn huge figures and blast off insane fireworks. But the firework above is just plain frightening. OMFG … the scariest part starts at minute 7:11! You can skip directly to it by clicking on the minute link.

Even though I would go to the Alicante one with ear protection and access from a roof or something so I can take a video and pictures for my collection !

Only 48 more days and I will be annoying you again with Fallas from Valencia. On February 28th is the charming awakening of the city and the events will be going on and on until the main days which are from March 15th and 19th.

That’s when you come, the last 5 days are the most interesting days to visit Valencia. This festival will be the craziest thing you will ever experience in your life and will be burned deeply in your brain. Why not visit Valencia for Fallas 2010!!!

Why I’m I writing about it that early? Because right now tickets for flights, hotels and hostels in Valencia are still pretty cheap. But prices will explode soon. Last year in a shared hostel room … a bed was over $200 per night. So booking early is an argument.
