Yesterday we started to watch The Owls of Ga’hoole which kind of sent me on a mayor owl trip. Yes, you heard it right, owls are cool. Not sure how many of you know of the Barn Owls (webcam put up in a barn to watch freshly hitched owls) but this is not really kind of my thing. Rather like talking, animated owls pretending to be in Lord of the Rings or owls being filmed in HD and 1000 fps. Awesome!

Commuting will be 1. Fast and 2. Super Enjoyable.

Designed by a team of MIT graduates, this is the vehicle that converts from a street-legal automobile to a Light Sport aircraft in 30 seconds. A 100 hp, four-cylinder engine powers both the craft’s three-bladed propeller for a maximum airspeed of 115 mph and its continuously variable transmission, rear-wheel drive to above 65 mph when on the road. When the wings are folded, the craft easily stores in a home’s garage. It can be driven to one’s preferred airfield on four DOT-approved tires with full road suspension.

An electro-mechanical system is activated from inside the two-person cockpit to deploy the self-locking wings into place for take-off provided by a 1,700′ runway. Built to fly within VFR conditions, sophisticated modern avionics aid navigation from a touch-screen LCD. Dual pedals and a joystick manage the craft’s flight control surfaces–dual rudders, ailerons, and stabilator–while a steering wheel, accelerator, and brake control its road movement.

Its 23-gallon gas tank provides a 425 nautical mile range (35 mpg on the road), indispensable for easy day trips from Long Island to Martha’s Vineyard. Carbon fiber, titanium, and aluminum construction. Includes comprehensive familiarization with craft. Requires a Sport Pilot Certificate.

I saw this on an other blog couple of days ago and asked the fellow blogger if I could republish the images on RGS.

A big thank you to Hodenmumps who made this post possible.

Who doesn’t like free stuff for your gadgets. Here I will show you how to turn a barf bag into an iPhone or iPod Touch holder. Well the images are talking for themselves. It’s simple and easy and I especially love the fact that you can change the viewing angle buy adjusting the fold (last pic):

Make sure that you are using an unused bag though.

One more thing? Did you take part yet in the RGS iPod Nano scavenger hunt? You still got a chance to win the free iPod Nano!
