3D technology has finally hit the world of smartphones with the LG Optimus 3D and the HTC Evo 3D. 3D has enjoyed a rebirth in the cinema in recent years, so it was only a matter of time before it reached the palms of our hands. Putting aside the weeks of hype that has surrounded them, are these early 3D phones really the start of something big or will they become a forgotten flop?

There is no doubt that 3D is currently seen as cool and desirable, but the question is: how long will it be cool for? Its popularity still seems to be growing in Hollywood, so it makes sense for 3D to come to the mobile phone.

Unfortunately, it is just the camera and media player that utilize the technology at the moment, but let’s not forget how cool this feature actually is. The handsets in question not only allow you to watch 3D blockbusters in your hand, but they also give you the ability to capture your own life in 3D in video and photo format.

When you see this in action, it really does feel like it will be start of something big. You’ll wish every device you own had this technology, but that might just be because it is simply a new feature on a mobile. The novelty might wear off after two weeks and, after forking out hundreds of dollars to buy it, you will be left wondering how on earth you were sucked in in the first place.

On the other hand, the novelty might never wear off. 3D could become part of your life forever (well, maybe not forever – at least until holographic technology goes mobile). If the LG and HTC models, as well as the rumored Samsung and Apple competitors, prove popular enough then 3D could take the world by storm. Again.

LG and HTC accessories are already hitting the shops as things like the car cradle and video dock seek to enhance the 3D viewing experience for the user. People are taking notice of this new advanced mobile technology, so perhaps it will grow and become even more impressive in the near future. Considering how fast such technology moves these days, it won’t be long before phones are full 3D, but the cost of enjoying that must come down if 3D phones are going to be the next big thing.

Costs most definitely will come down over time, but this might mean that 3D phones will only become genuinely affordable when a much cooler technology hits our handsets. For the time being, though, 3D is still very cool and mobile manufacturers will continue to exploit this if interest remains high enough.

Maybe not as exactly as shown in above video but I always imagined a train which never stops and instead an injection system places the passengers on the train. Just imagine how much time and energy this would save. I do admit that how they do it in this video is much more adventurous and exciting but in that case I have rather have the train to come to a full halt.

This remind me of a story – last year we took friends to the castle in Sagunto (see last picture for what kind of cactus) and one of our visitors just had to harvest that cactus fruit.
